Transcend RMA: My Experiences

An old Transcend sd card died on me last month after many years of service. Time to test out the lifetime warranty and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedure.
A quick form was filled in at Transcend where it validates your warranty status and provides an address for shipping.
You must pay shipping to them who happen to be located in California. They pay shipping to you. I threw the card in an envelope and shipped it lettermail which came out to less than 2 dollars.
A little over a month later I received a new card but this only has a 5 five year warranty. Oh well, at least they honoured their warranty and declared the proper package value.
